The mission Find a way of trading on Robinhood Chain that makes money after every real cost, and prove it on days it has never seen.
Nothing is proven yet. Buying hard dips on busy coins (Blood) is the one lead so far: it stayed positive on weeks it had never seen, at about half its backtest size. But Blood has had 80% of all the testing; Callers, LP and Spot have barely been searched.
The headlines
- High priorityWhat we have found (updated 5 Oct): Blood (buying hard dips) has 14,880 settings that make money on our backtests after every real cost, with the whole 95% range above zero (of 35,467 tested with 30+ trades). The strongest makes +31.4% a trade (range +17.9 to +44.9) over 151 trades. Not proven yet: they were selected on 17–25 Sep. On 11–16 Sep, which the search never used, 77% of them were also positive, at about 37% of the size. With this many settings tried on the same days, some look good by luck: a pre-registered check on 4 Oct found the gains sitting in one busy two-day spell, and a luck-adjusted ranking on 5 Oct found none of the top 24 clear of chance. A setting found here needs its own test on days it has never seen.
- High priorityBlood is the only strategy with a lead so far: 61% of its 1,679 setups make money after real costs, and 144 are clearly above zero. But it has had 80% of all the testing.
- High priorityAll 10 of Blood's best leads stayed positive on weeks the search never saw (+2.6 to +8.0 a trade). They came in at about half their backtest size: +5.5 a trade against +9.8.
- High priorityThe size of the edge carried over to new weeks; the exact best settings did not. Dip depth and hold time pointed the same way on the new weeks. Trading history, fee band, launchpad and take-profit did not.
- High priorityMuch of the gain comes from a few coins. Without their 5 best coins, the clearest setups fall from +8.3 to +3.1 a trade, though 126 of 128 stay positive.
- High priorityPaper trading has not matched the backtests yet. Clean paper seats average −7.9 a position, against +5 to +10 in backtests. 6 of 13 open seats are up, but only slightly.
- High priorityCallers, LP and Spot are under-explored, not ruled out. Together they have had 20% of the testing. Nothing there is clearly above zero yet, and each needs the same full build-out Blood had.
- Medium priorityOnly 38% of the map has been measured. A batch filling the 15 biggest gaps is running now.

What we found
We measured 2,435 setups across four strategies. Blood (buy a coin after a hard dip, sell on the bounce) is in profit in 61% of its 1,679 setups after real costs, and in 144 of them the whole 95% range is above zero. Callers is positive in 17%, LP in 2 of 62, Spot in none, and none of those three has a setup clearly above zero yet.
What it means for the mission
Blood is where the best evidence is today, so its leads go forward to the exams. But a lead that has had 80% of the work is not proof the others have nothing: we have searched them far less.
What we do about it
Keep Blood's leads moving to the sealed exams. In parallel, give Callers, LP and Spot the full build-out Blood had (finding 9).
Why this priority
It decides where the research time goes next.
A setup is one combination of settings (which coins, how deep a dip, when to sell). Results are average percent per trade after pool fees, slippage and gas. No noxa.bot fees are in any figure. 95% range: where the true result most likely sits.
Blood's best leads held up on weeks they had never seen
High prioritybacktest, the days it was found onblind backtest, weeks it never saw
What we found
We re-ran the 10 best Blood leads on weeks the search had never read: 20 Aug to 8 Sep, plus a V4 re-test of 11 to 17 Sep. All 10 stayed positive, at +2.6 to +8.0 a trade. On average they kept 56% of their backtest result: +5.5 against +9.8. 5 still cleared the statistical bar; 5 stayed positive but no longer cleared it.
What it means for the mission
This is the strongest evidence so far that Blood is real and not luck. Plan on about half of any backtest number: +5 a trade, not +10. On those weeks the dip-buyers also beat equally active coins that did not dip, by +8 to +10 a trade.
What we do about it
Let the sealed exams decide. Nothing reads those days before each exam runs. Block A (rules #1 and #2) reads from 7 Oct. Block B (rule #3) reads from 21 Oct. Block C (the 2+ dips family) reads after 4 Nov.
Why this priority
A lead that survives unseen days is the only kind that can make money.
Held = still significant after correcting for testing many leads at once (Holm). Weakened = still positive, but no longer significant. Old weeks used V4-only coins. 5 more leads are waiting for a blind test. Key: every h = traded every hour of the last 3 days · 48h+ = traded in 48+ of them · % = dip depth · TP = take profit · 6h/8h/12h = longest hold · low fee = pool takes ≤1% a side · WETH = main pool quoted in WETH · 2m in = bought 2 min after the dip.
What makes a Blood trade pay, and what we cannot trust yet
High prioritythis setting helpsthis setting hurtsmedian change per trade, in points
What we found
We compared setups that differ in only one setting. A coin that traded every hour of the last 3 days beats any coin by +5.2 a trade (74 of 81). A rising market beats a falling one by +4.9 (133 of 160). A 30% dip beats a 20% dip by +3.5 (64 of 72), and a 12 h hold beats 4 h by +2.8 (53 of 59). Some settings hurt: V2/V3-only pools (−3.4), measuring the dip from the 24 h high (−2.6) and buying 15 minutes late (−0.9).
What it means for the mission
There is a clear recipe on the days we searched: a busy coin, a deep dip off its 1 h high, a WETH pool, a rising market, a quick entry, out within 12 h. But on the unseen weeks only dip depth and hold time pointed the same way. The best fee band, take-profit, launchpad and history level all changed. So trust the direction of the recipe, not its exact numbers.
What we do about it
Keep the settings that held on both periods (dip depth, hold time) fixed in every paper seat. Treat the rest as open. Market direction is a new dial: it needs a blind test before any seat uses it.
Why this priority
These settings are what a profitable bot would actually run.
Each bar is the median change across matched pairs of setups, where only that one setting differs. 'Better in 74 of 81' counts those pairs. Pairs share trades, so they are not independent tests. Old-weeks shape check: rank agreement 0.31, only 2 of 6 dials agree.
A few lucky coins carry much of the gain
High priorityresult per trade95% rangewithout its 5 best coins
What we found
144 Blood setups have their whole 95% range above zero. Take away each setup's 5 best coins and 126 of 128 stay positive, but the typical result drops from +8.3 to +3.1 a trade. The very best setups rest on as few as 11 coins. The 30 Sep audit found one coin (CASHED) inside all 14 of the then-top setups.
What it means for the mission
The repeatable part of the edge is nearer +3 a trade than +8. A bot cannot plan on catching the few coins that run, so a result that needs them is not a business.
What we do about it
Judge every lead by its result without its 5 best coins, and count coins, not trades. Prefer setups spread over many coins to a higher number from a few.
Why this priority
If the edge is only a few lucky coins, real money will not repeat it.
Each row shows one setup: the dot is the result per trade, the line its 95% range, the ring the same setup without its 5 best coins.
Paper trading has not matched the backtests yet
High priorityupdownstarted before the referee fix
What we found
Backtests say +5 to +10 a trade. The explorer has 21 paper runs; the 9 on the fixed referee average −7.9 a position. Right now 6 of 13 open seats are up, median −0.02%, best BLD-24 at +1.1%. Only 1 of 6 clean closed seats made money (median −0.14%). Most of the 29 Sep losses came from faults in the paper referee, fixed that night.
What it means for the mission
This gap is the biggest open question for the mission. If real fills, delays and costs eat the edge, a backtest edge is worth nothing. Equally, a few clean seats are too few to call it.
What we do about it
16 paper seats are open, among them the four best leads (BLD-29, BLD-30, BLD-31, BLD-32) and four seats with the 2+ dips filter, $500 each, until 10 trades. Check each seat against its backtest, trade by trade, to see where the gap opens: entry price, delay, fees or the coins it picked.
Why this priority
This is the step between a backtest and real money.
Seats are marked at a live sell quote about every 30 min; open results are not final. Faded bar: started before the referee fix. Open with no buys yet: BLD-30, BLD-32.
Callers, LP and Spot: barely searched, not ruled out
High prioritybar = share of all tests read so far
What we found
Blood has had 80% of all tests read (3,506) and 24 dials. Callers has had 18% (796 tests, 10 dials), LP 2% (77 tests) and Spot almost none (14 setups on 5 dials). So far nothing there is clearly above zero. The most convincing Callers setup is +0.9 a trade (range −2.1 to +4.0). LP loses on cost: entry and exit (median 5.0%) are bigger than the fees earned, best −1.6 a position. Spot's best is −1.5.
What it means for the mission
We cannot say these strategies have no edge, only that the little we tried has none. Blood looked flat too until we found the right filters (busy coins, low-fee pools, deep dips). The other three have not had that search.
What we do about it
Give each one Blood's method: build the skeleton (at least 3 values on every dial), test the corners, then push the edges. Callers: run the remaining must-test fills and re-run after the swap backfill, which will price more of the calls. LP: test what we could not measure yet (concentrated ranges, dynamic-fee pools) and other position sizes. Spot: load the 30 Sep 47-setup skeleton onto the explorer and add entry signals.
Why this priority
It is the cheapest place to find a second edge, and we have barely looked.
Bars show each strategy's share of all tests read so far. Families read: Blood 3,506, Callers 796, LP 77, Spot 14. Results per trade after real costs; LP per position.
The paper seats keep buying the same coins
Medium priorityWhat we found
Since the referee fix, the script seats made 86 buys in only 14 coins. GAGE alone is in 11 seats. 38 of 80 positions are up, mostly in the same few coins.
What it means for the mission
Ten seats are not ten tests. When they all hold the same coin, one coin's move shows up ten times.
What we do about it
Report seat results per coin as well as per seat. A lead counts only if it holds across many different coins.
Why this priority
It changes how we read every paper result, but it does not decide the strategy.
Clean-referee script seats; every buy pooled by coin; coins still held are valued at the latest mark.
Most of the map is still blank
Medium priorityWhat we found
Blood has 24 dials. Of the 9,484 ways to pair one dial's value with another's, 3,630 (38%) have any measured setup. The least explored are coin age, measured from the high of the last, entry delay, snipers still holding. The explorer lists 15 directions where the best result sits at the edge of what we tried, such as longer holds, bigger take-profits and older coins.
What it means for the mission
A better setup may sit in a corner we have not measured. But every extra look also raises the chance of fooling ourselves, so the blank areas need filling in a planned way.
What we do about it
A pre-registered batch is filling the 15 biggest gaps now, and the results go onto the explorer when it lands. Then we push the edges, one dial at a time, only where the dial can physically go further.
Why this priority
It could find a better edge, but the leads we have come first.
Bars show the 8 least explored dials: the share of that dial's value pairings with other dials that have a measured setup.
AI traders: no edge, and the veto rarely says no
Low priorityupdownold referee (before 29 Sep fix)median
What we found
Every kind of trader loses in the median: AI −0.36%, scripts −0.55%, random −1.3%. Only 29 of 117 closed runs made money. The AI veto said go to 33 of 35 actions, so each veto seat trades almost exactly like its plain twin.
What it means for the mission
An AI on its own has not found an edge, and the veto has not changed a result yet. The edge, if there is one, is in the Blood rule, not in the AI.
What we do about it
Keep the veto twins running beside the plain seats; they cost nothing. Run the random trader beside the scripts again: it has only been measured on the old referee.
Why this priority
It does not move us closer to a profitable rule right now.
AI and random runs all ran on the old referee, at $100; a median AI run lasted 1 h. Compare in percent only.
Notes
- Backtests replay recorded Robinhood Chain swaps through a frozen engine at measured per-pool costs (a typical $50 round trip on a Blood entry pool costs 5.7%). Paper seats are filled by a referee at live on-chain quotes. No real money; no noxa.bot fees in any figure.
- Blood has read 3,506 tests on the same days, so a few setups look good by chance. That is why only blind backtests and the sealed exams count as proof.
- Paper results are percent of each run's starting stake. Stakes changed ($100 AI runs; script seats $100 → $1,000 → $5,000 → $500), so dollars do not compare.
- Old referee: runs started before the 29 Sep 23:46Z fix carry known faults (side-pool fills, closing sells quoted under half the market price, unpriced coins booked at $0). Shown faded.
- Left out of the paper charts: 6 voided runs, 4 random runs that never traded beside the models, and 1 harness test.
- Explorer figures are from noxa.bot/nbresearch/edge/explorer as built 2026-10-02 12:24Z; hover any chart for the exact numbers.
